01 Problem

Deaf Filipinos often face frontline offices and emergency responders with no Filipino Sign Language interpreter on hand.

02 What I built

I wrapped the ML pipeline in a PWA, moved the training data to DVC, exported the TensorFlow.js model and wired in the Gemini simplifier. I also made accessibility passes and recorded extra clips for weakly recognised signs.

03 Security notes

Recognition runs on the device, so camera frames never leave the browser.

04 Impact

Finalist at SparkFest 2026 (GDG PUP) for Team F4. A tool a barangay hall or evacuation centre could open offline when no interpreter is available.
